MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
Welcome to Unique People Services.
We are pleased to present to you essential information about our programs, services and accomplishments that have sustained Unique People Services for 20 years. We provide services to over 700 individuals living with HIV/AIDS, individuals with developmental disabilities and individuals who were formerly homeless and mentally ill. We are proud of our dedicated and talented staff, which provides compassionate, person-centered care and support to our clients.
Our mission and goals at Unique People Services are to provide a home where our individuals can live richer lives by addressing the fundamental needs most often unavailable to them. UPS is committed to meet these challenges by improving individual well-being and supporting transition to independent living, whether in one of our modern, state-of-the-art residences or into the community at-large.
We are undertaking major initiatives in 2011 to raise public awareness of our programs and services. We invite you to participate through your support of our efforts and to volunteer to make a brighter day for our individuals who appreciate special amenities such as music, art and other creative activities. Government contracts provide all of our funding however, budget cuts are on the rise. Conversely, UPS must supplement its budget with private support to continue its strong tradition of providing years of optimum and innovative support services for individuals in our care.
